FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

> HOW DOES IT WORK?

Scubacraft uses patented technology that allows it to transform its buoyancy from a floating craft into a streamlined submersible. The craft is powered on the surface by a combustion engine where its unique hull design allows for exceptional performance. Before submerging the occupants must fit standard scuba diving equipment, when underwater the craft is powered by electric thrusters and batteries.

> DO I NEED SPECIAL TRAINING?

Scubacraft is designed to be operated in accordance with standard PADI diving procedures. To operate Scubacraft you will need to undergo an official Scubacraft training course that will give you all the skills necessary to operate safely and within PADI guidelines. If you want to take people on underwater adventure tours then the operator will need to be of at least PADI Instructor level and then have completed the Scubacraft instructor training program.

> IS IT SAFE?

Scuba diving will always carry risks but the important aspects to understand are the potential risks and what to do in the event something goes wrong. Scubacraft is fitted with an integrated dive computer, providing critical information for operation within PADI diving guidelines. Scubacraft is fitted with spare regulators and emergency backup systems but in an emergency you can simply depart from the craft and revert to being a normal scuba diver.

> WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM DEPTH?

The maximum depth for Scubacraft is 30 meters and features systems to prevent the craft from submerging below that depth.

> WHAT DO I NEED TO OPERATE SCUBACRAFT?

Scubacraft's main advantage is that it only requires standard scuba diving facilities to operate. Commercial operators of Scubacraft might also require a facility that houses the fuel, air compressor, battery chargers and spare parts for Scubacraft. Commercial leisure operators would also consider a passenger service area with ticket sales and optionally, a souvenir shop if not already having a dive centre onsite.

> DOES IT COME WITH A WARRANTY?

The Scubacraft hull and upper deck structures will be supplied with a 3 year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing and material defects. All peripheral components such as the engine, thrusters and batteries will be supplied with a 1 year guarantee. We will also be offering service packages to maintain your Scubacraft to a high standard and maximise its residual value.

> WHERE CAN I GET IT SERVICED?

Along with the dealer and distribution network, the servicing network is due to be finalised in 2011. It will encompass authorised service agents around the world to meet your servicing needs.

> WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES?

No competitor submersible is capable of planing at speed on the surface and no other recreational watercraft is capable of sustained submersion. Scubacraft is significantly cheaper than other 'dry' submersibles and provides a substantial Return on investment for commercial operation. Scubacraft features independent, self contained operation both on the surface and underwater. It has minimal logistical impact with no cranes, mother-ships or specialist facilities required for operation.

>WHAT IS THE PRICE?

We do not publish the price details for Scubacraft products but the estimated costs are available upon request: contact us to find out more.

> HOW DOES ITS PRICE COMPARE TO A SUBMARINE?

The average 3 person submarine costs around £2 Million and contains heavy engineering to keep the occupants dry, on average a sub of this size would weigh 3 tons and require dedicated lifting facilities for each and every launch. Scubacraft's unique buoyancy technology and wet design allows it to cost significantly less both in unit price and facilities to operate. Because it's a wet submersible, the entire structure is free flooding and components are individually sealed to pressure. Its lightweight design allows for easy launch and recovery where no dedicated lifting equipment is required. Scubacraft is easily transportable by the average motor vehicle and conforms to width restrictions on public roads.

> HOW IS SCUBACRAFT CERTIFIED?

In order to be insured, Scubacraft will meet international classification and certification standards. These will be dependent of market and application.
